Philly fans get a shit public card. They lead the majors in home attendance. they have most knowledgeable fans in sports.
Cliff Lee left tons of money on the table to return to city he loved the most, felt the most comfortable, and wanted to be. That makes him an immediate 'god' in Philly.
What he did to the yankees in the WS gm1 was legendary, and his decision to leave their loot on the table only kicked it up a notch. THe entire state of NJ is half Philly, half NYY. half eagles, half Giants. These kinds of things are rare, but when they happen they are huge. Yeah, the guy is kind of a big deal.

cant hate on stutes...this young kid has ton a hell of a job this yr... mayberry not being able to drive in a run with bases loaded in the bottom of the 10th, then howard dropping the pop fly were the keys to the game..
