Admit it, you don't hunt for food. The food is a byproduct, and something you use to justify the real reason you hunt. That would be the sheer joy of killing, taking an innocent creature's life in your hands and ending it. It makes you feel big right? Must be how God feels when he kills things.

I have no issue with the killing and eating of animals. But the odd glorification of hunting like its some brave or dramatic task to shoot an unaware animal with a sniper rifle is weak.

I have no issue with the act of hunting, if you like whatever, but it superfluous I wouldnt watch a show where people picked apples either.

I hate hunting shows and just do not get hunting at all.
For me, I do all my hunting at the grocery store.

But...A lot of people are avid hunters and they defend it all the way.
Certainly not going to bash something I do not personally like.
Seems similar to golf or fishing in terms of passion level.

Hunting is not something you can watch on TV. It's about the hunt as the name declares. The kill is great and all, but for me it's the hunt and everything leading up to that kill that I enjoy.

I don't watch hunting shows. I was raised hunting, we hunted for food not for the thrill of killing. I always felt a little bad for the animals we killed until we ate it. Venison sausage is good, slow cooked braised rabbit is good, venison jerky is good, chicken fried backstrap is good, mesquite grilled marinated dove breast wrapped with jalapeno and bacon is good. All you holier than thou meat eaters are funny.

Do you know how the meat gets to the market? A cow does not give birth to a steak. You are slow.

Also, If you ever knew anyone who suffered and died from cancer you would think about what you said and realize it's insensitive. Not to mention it confirms you are the ignorant one, not the hunters.
