I know a couple of guys who do nothing but watch line moves and they are so toasted they have no idea how to dig out. These clowns have each lost over 60K since football started. They can't pick their nose. Line services are worthless.

In all seriousness, line movements of 1+ have been very effective thus far in NBA play offs in the past 2 days especially Look at Orlando open -3.5 closed -5 and Spurs open -6.5 close -7.5 Lakers open -7 close -8

all covered.

I'm not saying there is any value, I figured maybe the people you were talking about doing this might be betting NBA? Trying to find a sharp side and then taking it, or are they waiting for line moves, and then taking extra points with the dog?

I wouldn't say line servies are worthless. You could easily see a line move at pinny or greek, and if you agree with the move and can get a stale number at another book, you've done the best you can. That said, if you are late, betting AFTER a line move does deflate the value no doubt, but that does not mean 100% that there is no value in the new number. You have to combine line moves with handicapping, and not RELY on the moves to make your plays for you.
