I understand that they would pay me if I won, but until the window for a check to clear passes, none of the people who have been paid via check can be 100% certain the money is theirs.

I don't think its a coincidence that the first 2 weeks were paid via moneygrams. This gives them some payouts under their belts, generates a ton if interest + sign ups, and gives them 3-4 more weeks until any reports of bounced checks surface.

By then they have TONS of information.

FYI - I placed all 3 of my credit reports on fraud alert, so if anyone tries to open an account in my name, they are going to be subject to a barrage of questions about my family and past residencies and employers. Also they will have to be in possession of my telephone.

My credit report has shown an influx in recent inquiries from places I have never heard of. Kind of weird. Before I signed up for CW, the only places that checked my credit report were Capital One, Discover, ****, my bank, and my landlord.

If this site would screen players (Anyone, I mean ANYONE can get an account --- even by entering fake info) then it wouldn't run into these problems.

The books that do offer credit (Jazz, Topcat, etc) do a credit check, check to see if you are employed and what your income is, etc. The fact that CW doesn't do this means that they have 1) no risk management, 2) are ****ing stupid -- therefore they cannot have my money, which I don't have in the first place.

I wouldn't be able to get a credit card, but somehow I can get $1000 credit from some website that looks like it was made by a 5th grader, hosted on godaddy.com, with nothing more than my name, address, and last 4 (fake) of my SSN? R E D F L A G

You don't get it. No one is going to open accounts in your name. What will happen from what I'm told is your name, address, and phone number will be posted on a "stiff" website. Aggressive collection attempts will take place. If you didn't pay by this point, a judgement will be made against you in the loan issuing country. This will be a your credit report. Whether it is all talk or this shit happens I for one don't want it to happen to me. They said they will be calling neighbors, family, work, etc. Personally I don't care if you pay or not. It would just suck for people w/ families who frown upon the gambling. Getting calls about this debt will really suck. Think about all of the posters who will just bust balls and call these stiffs.

They have a 1k limit on withdrawals and just take the rest if you go over but just decided to send you 3k out of the goodness of their hearts.
