Been betting tennis for many years and have come to the conclusion, especially this year, that the only bet that should be made is a pre-match bet on an underdog IF anything at all.
I always had a feeling something was wrong with tennis and then when this whole Daveydenko thing came out it was just what I needed to smarten up about the whole thing.
Numerous times already this year I have seen players serving out a match and blowing it and then blowing the match and costing all of the in-game backers that bet huge money to win very little. At a couple of the in-game sites they will offer 1.01 odds which would basically be betting 1 g to win 10 bucks, when the match is pretty much over. Seen many of these 1.01's lose and its unbelievable. Before you say, who would bet a 1.01?, TONS of people bet it because they figure that they could make an easy 20 bucks or something before the nights games.I have to admit that I have bet it a couple of times as well but luckily I have never lost them.(Knock on wood).
With the way tennis is going this year, bet underdogs pre match, especially the big underdogs, or bet in-running and bet on the underdog when the favorite is serving for the match. If you lose in that instance you lose only 10 or 20 bucks but if the player serving for the match blows it, you can hedge that grand or two grand that you have on the other player and you can guarantee yourself a nice profit.
Anyways, I was bored waiting to go for some ribs so I figured I would throw that out there. Play safe
