astro's closer, he gave up 3 runs in the 9th to the phils, blew the save and lost the game.

we kinda discussed this a little during the draft, but a closer blowing a save is really devastating to one's point total.

i haven't heard much about him, believe a set up man for part of last season.

converted 20/22 saves last year, decent era, but whip is kinda high for a closer, due mostly to a high walk total. his K:BB isn't all that great, less then 2:1.

really all that matters is getting the save, which he did at a high % last year. we'll see how he does in the upcoming weeks.

if he continues to struggle keep an eye out for the stros set-up and/or stand-out reliever, they may end up switching roles. closers have pretty short leashes especially a guy like lyons who hasn't established himself as a dominant, long-term go to guy at the end of the game.
