I think if vcu hits some long distance shots and gets butler to play to their tempo a little bit they will be fine. Theyve played some tough half-court teams that are physical like ODU and mason its nothing new to them. If u think this team isnt full of confidence right now ur pretty fukkin stupid. How can you bet against VCU? Sure Butler has done it's own share of turning heads, but I feel that Shaka and his team have WAY too much momentum and have shown the poise needed to pull it out. +2.5 any-day...but is it the lock of the Galaxy? no, is it ever?

im thinking about a major play on VCU as well. but i think stevens has had ample time to plan for this game. +130 is nice. butler will hold VCU to under 40% 3's im pretty sure, the dribble and kick will not be as effective as it was on the 2nd game of the weekend against KU/Purdue. comes down to the shelvin mack heaves, does he go 6-10 on ridiculuosly long 3's, or does he go 2-12. i think the pressure is on butler just a little bit. and a lot of pressure on howard/mack.

The performance VCU has been putting on so far in this tourney still doesnt convince some out there. Butler is gonna get pressed just like kansas got pressed. If you can turn kansas over you can turn anyone over and butler just doesnt have the best guys out there to break that press. When they had hayward he was good enough to bring the ball up court and would be useful against vcu if still around. everyones talking about whether vcu is gonna stay hot from the field or not, this team has not only been scoring off their 3s they r attacking the rim for easy looks and being aggressive in their approach. I dont see an advantage to be honest for butler vcu has been playing just as good defense if not even better. If ur not scared of the way vcu toyed around with kansas u will soon see it for urself why they have been mauling opponents on the floor this tournament throughout.
