There really isn't that much action on Santa Clara, SBR lines says 67% on Santa Clara spread but 77% on Iona ML. A lot of games everyday have this kind of action...

This is a perfect example of the lines that I think are "fishy" and stay away from only to find out that it was a great bet the whole time....then I'm pissed the entire game that I didn't put any money on it. What to do?

I played Santa Clara +9.5 for small...seems like a fishy line and I'm not about to piss away a season's worth of NCAA winnings on the CBI tournament.

The line certainly does look fishy. I made the game seven (7) and played Santa Clara at + 9 1/2 because of my 2 1/2 perceived point value; unfortunately I missed the 10's. The thing about Iona is that they tend to let teams stay in games with their poor foul shooting, so even if the Gales do pull away many times they let teams back in. Santa Clara is playing very well lately and if they continue to hit their 3's they will, IMHO, be in it until the end.

Anyway, for those of you concerned about the cross country trip, Santa Clara has been here in NY since Sunday, they toured ground zero yesterday, so I don't see any travel fatigue issues. Their coach is from Long Island.

Smyth has been out for a while with a shoulder he injured in the MAAC Tournament. He is the Gales' primary three (3) point threat. In fairness to Iona, they have been winning without him.

Glover hurt his back in the East Tenn game, I do not know if he is 100%. Glover is Iona's big man and a good one at that. He is expected to play tonight.

I'm on santa clara, but iona's stats are like some of the teams in the final 4. small bet i guess. might go to NBA for one game.

This line is very reminiscent of Rider +7 playing Northern Iowa on the road in the CIT. Rider prior to that game was playing every team tough losing by 5 or less in their last 10 games, with the exception of a blow out loss to Iona 59-83 in the conference tourney.

Riders goes against a slumping Northern Iowa team who just won 3 of their last 10 games, all in struggling fashion. Yet Northern Iowa completely destroys Rider 84-50, despite both team last 10 games would indicate otherwise.

And you think rider was excited for this game? This wasnt even a championship game. They are sloppy with the ball anyway i can see why northern iowa took them apart. SC is playing with a mission right now and are probably playing some of their best ball. They are loosed, focused, and excited to end their season on a high note and have the talent to do so. Ionas been a tough cookie at home over the course of the year but i see a little bit of a lack of motivation playing a part for them here and the broncos will bring their energy and execute a bit better and possibly take this game outright. The 9.5 points is worth the taking here with the broncos.

Vegas is banking on the East Coast time zone being an advantage here. That's the reason why Washington State looked so terrible yesterday.

You dont lose by over 30 pts because of jet lag. If Iona is going to be jacking up 3s then SC will have the edge because they dont mind a fast pace and are most dangerous when the game goes above 80s or so.

Ask yourself, who in the world won't take Santa Clara at +9.5. This looks insanely too easy. Just look a Santa Clara last 10, and there's no way don't cover, if not flat out win. If this was the regular season I would take SC, since you can find soft line due to Vegas spending most of their focus on the top 25. There's only a few college games left, and Vegas going to be sharp in this one.
