Not that I'm a big Budweiser fan myself but on rare occassions I asked for it in certain Vegas and Laughlin casinos like The Imperial Palace and Don Laughlin's Riverside casino and they stare daggers at you for asking for a Bud.Sometimes they will just say we don't serve it here and a few of the regulars like Norm on Cheer's will sort of chuckle.I never had the balls to ask why they have a grudge against it.

Here are my theories.John ** Cain's wife is a big owner-player in Budweiser and maybe somewhere along the line they had a beef with ** Cain.I know he was always mad at the Nevada casinos for the Arizona college kids crossing the border to bet on sports.

Then there is Jesse Jackson being involved in shaking down Budweiser and getting a free distributorship in Chicago for his kids.

At the same time Jackson's kids were getting a free distributorship gifted to them by Budweiser in Chicago, the late baseball legend Roger Maris was having his families distributorship taken away by Budweiser in Florida. Both Ralph Englestad and Don Laughlin are Minnesotan's that were the same age as fellow Minnesotan Maris and I have a hunch that might have caused the anti Budweiser sentiment?A ton of Englestad's close relatives live in my area and I should ask one of them if that's the case. The guy right up until his death was a controversial figure donating tons of money to building hockey arenas but threatened to stop construction on the North Dakota Fighting Sioux arena if they changed their team name to a politically correct name. The arena is out of this world and is like the Taj Majal of arenas and the college backed down and took the arena instead of changing their name.Typical academic leftist hypocrites.hehe!I'm glad Englestad won out and made them look bad at the same time.

i don't know BC, but i do know whenever i used to visit my family up in the Philly/jersey area and i asked for Bud it was like i was asking for a martian drink, they seemed to prefer Coors and Miller up there.
also i remember me and a group of friends renting an RV and going to watch the Vikings and Oilers/Titans play the day after Christmas one year in Nashville,Anderson was going for the record that year. We drank on the way down and it was cold and ice everywhere. well the game was at Vandy's stadium and when we got there we were walking around looking for the beer, finally we asked and they said they didn't sell beer during games because it was an SEC stadium, you talk about being pissed, it was an NFL game not a college game, i'm sure the people watching it on TV were seeing ads all game for beer.
