Silliness, my dear friend. Also, lets not overlook the fact that one of those inf hits could have been called an error as well. generous scoring there. dempster allowed 4 hits, 2 were inf hits, he ked 7, and had to get 2-3 extra outs. still the cubs could have won in the 9th if the home plate umpire made a competent call at the plate in the 9th. comical to suggest that cinci was remotely close to the right side. thats ok though, on to tuesday.

oh don't feel bad Mo, the gambling gods gave me one on the Pistons getting FT's at the end to cover for me on some questionable calls, then the gods took it to me on the Royals, scoreless into the top of the 9th and Ramirez pitched great then gave up a trip, manager yanked him and puts in Gobble a lefty with Kotchman coming up,who is hitting .524 and slg. .857 against lefties on the year, 1 pitch 1 hit, run scores, manager yanks him(Gobble) a leftie, to put in Peralta a righty who is going to face Hunter who had faced him last season and was 2 for 2 against him, then Anderson coming up who hasn't hit well all season, but is hitting RH's better than LH's, .237 vs. .160. seems if the manager didn't like Ramirez he would of went with Peralta first to try and hold the runner, and then went with Gobble if needed.

Much better to be lucky than good. A lot of these games are decided by one mistake.
