I'm taking all you bastards to the ground with me!
Then i'll frown on your f*cking whole life
The systematic hype still means a bit much to me!
i don't think i ever mentioned my old buddies band on here before, Flaw. I don't know whats up with them at the moment, i haven't talked to Lance since Dec. or early Jan., he said they were supposed to start recording again. Lance and Ballinger joined Flaw right before they got signed in 00', they played in a band called Shapeless Matrix that most people thought would get signed before Flaw, Shapeless was real technical, Flaw was basically a heavy rap -rock kind of band in the 90's local scene. but when Ballinger left Shapeless over fighting with the bass player all the time, Flaw had just did a small lp in 98 and just did another in 99, their drummer left so Ballinger joined them, well then the bass player from Shapeless formed a band with other guys called Factor 9, so Lance was like, hell i'll see if Flaw will let me join as an extra guitarist, he joined, actually Lance is a way better guitarist than Jay was/is.
Lance is also got a side project called Nailgun Strategy, i've seen them once at The Hill, actually one of my favorite Flaw songs is called Scheme, it was wrote originally in the 90's but it got redone on their 98' lp, then again for their major label in 01', David Bottrillis an amazing producer he made Flaw sound totally different then they did in the 90's, but Lance and Ballinger weren't with them then, i think Lance and Ballinger was a big boost to Flaw. I still like the Chorus for Scheme ...
"Just like me, they tried their rules on me
they tried their rules on me, me, me
I broke those chains and ****iing split
and so you, and so you. and so you. and so you
pass all the fascist asses ignore those classes
of bottleneck masses
producing an all but awful stench, delivering a
section of all the money stole and spent
as you start to recognize, you're in the game
as you start to recognize, you're in the game!"
the first video for the first single off their "Through the Eyes" album was shot at Headlinersin louisville, but the record company didn't like it, i'm there, but i'm not in the video, here was the original
i can't get the original to embed for some reason the URL is http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TZ8ZF...eature=related
then the better version
this is what Flaw sounded more like before lance and Ballinger joined and Bottrill produced them, this vid shows pics with Lance and Ballinger, but they weren't with them when this was originally done.
