Was Papa Murphy's around before Kramer came up with the idea on Seinfeld to start a build your own pizza, pizza parlor?Papa Murphy's has to be the dumbest fast food concept of all time. It's like a little kid came up with this idea. What incentive is there to run out to a pizza parlor to have to come home and start the oven?Is the price an incentive where it's that much cheaper than a normal takeout pizza?Do they deliver in refridgerated cars?hehe!I have never had a Papa Murphy's Pizza, are they any good? The specialized pizza ovens parlors have are part of what makes the pizza better than frozen pizza you bake at home.

I just can't imagine pitching this concept to a bank to get a loan or to prospective franchisees to have them buy into this concept. It just goes to show, sometimes brilliant inventions and concepts fail and get laughed at and sometimes the dumbest one's like Papa Murphy's make it big.Maybe George Castanza founded papa Murphy's by thinking he would bake the pizzas but did the opposite and sold them unbaked.

I must be half baked for coming up with stupid posts like this all the time.hehe! It is a burning question with me though how dumb stuff makes a go of it and things I think are great, fall on their face.

Dumbest idea of a fast concept of all time was a chain from the 80's called One potato, two that you would usually find next to Orange Julius in malls. All it sold were baked potaoes with various toppings.Needless to say,it didn't last all that long.I think it was some penny stock fraud deal where Tony Soprano and Pauley Walnuts duped unsuspecting rubes.

Because they have better pizza's. I eat them all the time. They are great. Its like 8 bucks for a good pizza. You can't even find pizza's that large unless your going to spend 15-20.00. That would mean less gambling money.

i think most of the American public would love to learn how to make their own pizza once in their lifetime. Seeing the Pizza man twirling the Pizza makes them want to do it. Once they do one they might never want to make one again. I have made about a million of those fukers and i never want to make one again.

Cheap by comparison and pretty good. In this economy am sure they will do well. All over the midwest. Some women feel like if they put it in the oven to bake it, they actually cooked. LMAO

i got a papa murphys right by me, i tried it once , not too shabby, pretty good pizza, just start your oven , go get it, come back and put it in, ready in 20 min.

i don't know if we still have 1 potato 2 around here ,there used to be one in the Mall St. Matthews in the east end, last time i was there it was still there, but all the Orange Julius's are gone and Sabarro pizza, pizza by the slice. i think Cinn-a-bons(?) are gone also.

I had it once and it wasn't bad. The one by me however just closed after being open for about 6 years.
