True or false: recreational gamblers = people with poor money management skills
definition of rec gambler is someone who bets occasionally for entertainment. good money management requires only bet when there is an edge. i argue that is very hard for a rec gambler to do...if not impossible. first, rec gambler is not doing this full time so they don't have enough experience to accurately estimate an edge. second, they tend to bet more games that is on tv. third, when you cap a sport, you kind of have to stick with it...that is pretty hard to do part time. fourth, good money management skills = boring.

I doubt most rec gamblers would be winners even if they had an unlimited amount of time to dedicate to it...

what you say is correct. Recreational gamblers don't have poor money management - they have none.

But one can do it part-time and still do it in a reasonably professional manner, if one limits ones sports.

Fade the coin flip works well , heads = home team ; tails = visitors.

So , if the flip is heads then you bet the visitors

        do a martingale betting system

from time to time it is very hard to resist to bet a game that you're going to watch.

I am a rec gambler. I dont bet all the time but i enjoy the science of it. Meaning, i love to look at lines, play poker, read about gambling, watch documenatraies on it.

I dont have an offshore or local book. My sports gambling is done through a friend in vegas and is always a big fight.

I also dont look for an edge. Long term you lose anyway so there really is no edge. Ive always said that capping is more about justifying a pick rather than finding a winner.

I dont remember what the ts was talking about now, so this is my 2 cents. lol

Yes, Just my opinion, Rec do have poor money management skillz. Their are many times where I had $100 dollar bankroll converted into a couple dimes within a week or two, and end losing it back in 3 days by betting more than I should.
