Why doesn't Matt Howard just transfer to Duke?

he would actually become the 4th "Plumblee" as the PlumLees youngest brother is going to be playing at Duke next year with his brothers. IMHO, the two at Duke now are Dukes biggest weakness. They have no offense game and arent as effective defenders/rebounders as Zoubek a year ago. Everytime they touch the ball on offense, unless its catching an alley-oop, it results in a missed shot, turnover, or foul. Its really frustrating

As a die hard DUKE fan the Plumlee's have been two of the biggest disappointments in the 23 years I have been following DUKE. The little brother is not much better they all played for Christ School in my town so him play and he is not impressive either.

I think Duke's biggest weakness is Kelly...

Smith is a very good guard and creator
Big Plumblee is an oak tree
smaller plumblee is an athletic big man
Singler is a scorer, shooter, can create his own offense, Duke needs a guy like him in the 1/2 court game
Curry is a good 3pt shooter

It's overall a good mix of size/speed/strength and talent... with one exception. Kelly is just a dorky looking guy that put on 15 lbs and supposedly plays "smart". I'm surprised the kid can even dunk. They say he can shoot but it seems like every game I see he's 0/5 from the field. He's an unathletic 15 foot jump shooter... so what? Duke needs to upgrade that dork with somebody with game more like Singler and without the busted face.

Actually Kyle Singler and Nolan Smith both have pretty mutant-like faces. Neither guy is winning any male modeling contract anytime soon.

I would but Kelly above both Plumlees. He is better on offense than the both of them, He is weak around the basket but from 15 foot out to the three he can knock the shots down. I would give Kelly a slight edge on defense he draws a lot of charges and commits less stupid fould than the brothers.

You know I want to complain against him and mock him and give you an analogy of what he looks like to me and why I dislike him but I can't explain it. He just annoys me. I wish I could tell you why but I just can't explain. He's a big crybaby to the refs with this annoying style that gets under your skin. Maybe sort of like Phillip Rivers. Good player but very easy to dislike with his antics.

i feel the same way about darius johnson odom on marquette.

he just pisses me off. not sure why. probably cause he has burned me more times than i can remember.

was very happy to see him get interviewed after cuse game and see that he cant even string a sentence together. made me feel a lil better

A lot of these basketball players are dumb as bricks. You literally have no idea how stupid these guys are. Which annoyed me more when the NCAA kept airing those commercials that black ncaa athletes are 10% more likely to graduate than black college students and that division 1 athletes have higher SAT and ACT scores than regular college students.

Very deceptive when they left out the details and aired their misinformation during a basketball game.

Sort of off topic, but a lot of "stupid people" make it in to college, as that's the easy part. The slightly harder, but not really hard part is staying and getting the degree. There may be slightly more dumb jocks than there are dumb average students, but I doubt there is that big of a difference.

Maybe he was caught in the moment of the big win if you watch some of his youtube stuff saying he cant string together a sentence is a bit much if anything guy sounds like he may have or had a stuttering issue.

Oh certainly a lot, but those majors don't exist because of sports. Many non-athletes graduate with useless degrees too. There are people who flunk out of those useless degree programs. There are some people who are great a sports, some who are great a school, being great or even good at both is pretty impressive? Heck, lots of people suck at both.

Why do people always say that a person who takes a lot of charges is just a flopper? Part of taking a charge is selling a call. Who is going to call a charge on someone when they didn't even knock the defender off balance?

There are 2 types of defenders in the paint, those that can jump over a house and get blocked shots and then those who take control the paint through charges. Both are effective defenders.
