I love my diet cola and probably drink a 6 pack a day.I drink beer a little but during the course of a year I probably average about 4 or 5 cans a week.I don't drink beer much at all in the winter months unless I take a vacation to Vegas.
I always look for deals on canned diet cola and if Pepsi is on sale I buy it or if Coke is on sale I buy that.Through it all I probably pay about $2.50 a 12 pack or $5 a case for the stuff.
I seriously think they add some mystery drug besides caffeine to just diet cola only and not regular cola to get you addicted to the stuff.I know the diet stuff is a diahretic where it saves on calories drinking it but it ignites your appetite where you eat more.
Then the whole deal where Nutrasweet probably can kill a person is a little upsetting.I guess it wasn't going to get FDA approval but Don Rumsfeld worked for the company that made it and got it approved through his connections and pull.
So the big ??????is,it costs me $1.25 a day for my diet cola fix which is at least $400+ a year in cost over the 25 years I have been drinking it minus the compunded interest it would have gathered. That's a nice chunk of change.I guess it brought me enjoyment in life though. Then I never drank coffee or fancy smantzy sports drinks.etc.so the $420 a year I spend on diet cola would have been spent on some other beverage anyway.
Anyone ever drink Wal Mart diet cola out of the 2 litre bottle?Pretty awful stuff at 49 cents to 59 cents a bottle. You would think Wal Mart could steal Pepsi's recipe or invent a better diet cola themselves.
