Could someone explain to me how this works? I get the whole betting thing, but what is this about buying and selling contracts I've been hearing? Is this a different style of betting that I'm not understanding??

#2You basically are buying or selling contracts that add up to 100 if that makes sense.I will give you an example right now.Milwaukee is playing chicago and right now this is the line
Mil sell 13 buy 17 +488
Chi Sell 83 buy 87 -669
Every contract you buy is worth one hundred dollars. If you buy one contract at 87 for chicago you are paying 87 dollars to win 13 dollars (total is 100). Conversly if you bet milwaukee right now buying one contract at 17 dollars, you would win 83. You can also buy partial contracts so you can bet at different amounts. Basically if you are used to american pricing, what I do is take for example chicago above at -669 and say I would like to win one hundred bucks, I take 669/87 which is the price per contract and it lets you know how many contracts to get. It is pretty confusing at first but once you trade on the site for awhile you will get used to it.
The selling feature on the website lets you trade out of a bet and free up some extra money to use to bet again. I don't use this feature to be honest, I just back one side and if I feel the need to offset my bet at all I just back the other team and its the same thing except that all of my funds are tied up betting this way instead of having the funds free because I sold them using the sell option. I just do it this way to make it easier in my mind. The sell amount for a team is equal to the back amount of the other team at the time
Hopefully that all makes sense. If you have any other questions let me know.It can get pretty confusing at timesComment -

#5If TheGreek is your only baseball book you need to find another one to go along with them. WSEX is OK , Matchbook is better & you might want to check into betjamComment -

#6if you bet baseball at the Greek or Bookmaker you're a sucker. why use a 20 cent book when you got plenty of 10 cent or less baseball books.Comment
