I'm very happy for you and your posting experience, heartman2. And I agree with you that someone making crap up about winning a bet after the fact is pretty damn sad. But that's all it is, sad and pathetic, almost makes me feel a bit sorry for a person driven to do so because he or she must not have anything else in life to amuse them other than their own fantasy land.

But we have rules here, and your post was moved because we moderate the sports specific forums more heavily.

I'm also not so certain your aim is as philanthropic as to rid the world of this past-posting scourge as you suggest since your plain old heartman account signed up a couple of weeks back and also immediately went after that specific poster. Perhaps it's just a coincidence, perhaps not. But my primary point is if you want to call someone out, do so in the Private Zone or through PMs. If it's done in the baseball or football or auto racing forums, it will get moved. Thanks.

This makes no sense. So you will let somebody lie about their record, claim they won when they didn't, and then when somebody calls them out on it, you will move the post?

Sounds like a real stand up operation you have going on here.

Good point. If someone is misrepresenting himself, it shouldn't be called out upon. I really do like how you guys police the forums, you keep everything fair and balanced.

Getting tired of this forum honestly.

They move a lot of stuff lately. You aren't allowed to call out someone being a stiff, so posters basically are left in the dark about who to avoid making sidebets with, you aren't allowed to mention someone who misrepresents their record, you aren't allowed to mention that following the touts on SBR home page is a bad idea in the sports forums when the admins promote them...

That's all moved now. Does anyone remember SBR John ever doing that? Hell no. He was so liberal, he would even move posts the guys moved to private zone BACK INTO players Talk..

I agree Willie Bee, someone making crap up about winning a bet after the fact is pretty damn sad.

I'm a Nascar specialist and I'm very passionate about Nascar gambling. Any time or any where I see someone past posting or posting inaccurate records or Bullsh!t lines, I call them out. Every time!!! I've been calling out Nascar Bullsh!tters for years now on many different forums. This is the 1st place I've ever had a post moved for doing this.

In my opinion, you have one of the biggest Nascar bullsh!ters I've ever come across posting in your forum, so I called him out, like I always do!!!

I disagree with this forums policies, so I'll go somewhere else. Have a good day!

I signed up as Heartman, but mistakenly used the wrong e-mail address.

if willie bee likes the person accused or if the person works for SBR it will be moved. If he doesn't like the person it stays where it's at. austintx made a comment about mofome's record fudging and willie bee moved it immediately.

Anytime I make a comment about mofome, I receive a PM from Willie Bee telling me to stop. When comments are made about me Willie Bee ignores it.

I never realized that many people gave a crap about Nascar. Gambling or not.

I post picks in lots of different threads. Sometimes I remember to update my main thread before the games start, sometimes I don't. So, if in my main thread I list winners from other threads after the games have started, that technically is past posting, but isn't really. But, I could always point to the pre-game post in the other threads.

Could this be what happened? He posted the pick somewhere else before the race?

I'm not sure who you are talking about so I have no bias.

Have you ever been to a NASCAR race, Bread? Even one of the minor ones in out of the way places? I got my start in the racing community when I was living in Portland, getting hired as the network communications manager for one of the teams racing in CART's 1999 G.I. Joe 200. That was an eye-opener, because in my opinion open-wheel racing is less entertaining but more challenging as a sport. There were easily 75,000 people in attendance for the race, in a city that has no ties to racing whatsoever. Truly unexpected fan support, and a greater proportion of women than I've seen in any other sport dominated by men. The lack of nuance in racing makes it more accessible to women, apparently, who often don't focus much on the intricacies of a given sport.

One of NASCAR's two road courses is only three hours from me and I pull some strings and usually get pit passes when they come to town. Again, Northern California isn't exactly a hotbed of racing interest, and yet that event turns the Sonoma hillside into totally pandemonium for a whole weekend. NASCAR has the ability to put more people in one place more than 50% of NFL teams, on only a few select members of the college football elite. With only one event per weekend, their broadcasts are always national, and the revenue stream is consolidated. It's a perfect storm of sports, with a staggering amount of upside when looked at as a business model.

I guess my point is that NASCAR is way more popular than almost anyone following mainstream North American sports realizes. And, honestly, it is that way for good reason. If you allow yourself to follow it for one season, I think you'd find yourself still watching it the for the next season. I'm sure it's not everyone's cup of tea, but it is a force to be reckoned with.

NASCAR is very popular with bumper to bumper collision lovers.

I realize its huge popularity Scholar. I think maybe 1 in every 20 vehicles down here has a number 3 sticker with angel wings on it. Barf.

Personally, I'd rather gamble on a snail race than Nascar. And I'll gamble on anything so that's pretty wild.
