coach K wouldn't have known what to do with a team that had 5 black guys on the court at all times.

Yes, he has won a lot with lesser talent.

Probably, but Michigans problem wasn't coaching, per say. It was CWebb not being mentally or physically strong enough to handle Laettner. I'm not sure if Coach K could've fixed that

Great point, but it wasn't just Laettner they had a problem with. Those Duke teams were simply better than the Fab 5.

Very true. Laettner and Hill were a force, and they had a deep supporting cast. I don't remember Michigan having much of a bench, although that might be wrong... I was pretty young then, so most of what I know about them is from watching tapes

False.
Coach K never would have landed Webber, Rose, Howard and the other two. Even if he did, Coach K thrives with team play, not CWebb running the show

Coach K would never start 5 frosh...i'm not a fan, but his programs are sooo strong that it's nearly impossible that a upperclass leader is not on the court at all times. He graduates a ton of players.

I came in to say this. Likely there was a deserving upperclassmen on that roster but then there wouldn't have been the same hype for your recruiting job.

I think Duke had about 7 NBA players on that team. Bobby Hurley was #7 in the draft.

Duke was a veteran, experienced team, can't really expect 5 freshmen to win. But I loved the Fab Five back in the day...also the Runnin' Rebels a few years earlier...

Who is better the UNLV lead by Larry Johnson in 1990-1991 vs the Fab Five vs. The Dukie with Laettner n G. Hill. In 1990-1991 UNLV Team included Greg Anthony running the show, Stacey Augmon as their defensive specialist, Anderson Hunt as a deadly shooter, and, of course, Dallas’ own Larry Johnson.

I think the 1990-1991 UNLV would destroy the Fab-Five

Imagine if all those freshman from Kentucky stay for another year together you think any team can beat them? lead by John Wall and D. Cousin.?
