For me its been thousands!.. Everytime I go through a loosing streak it happens. It only lasts a day though... Once the depression leaves I wnat to play again.

Thousands for me as well, when you're on a winning streak there's nothing you want to do except gamble, when you go on a losing streak you never want to make a bet again and so begins another attempt to "quit" (which lasts about a day or so til you see a line you like LOL)

There should be no reason to Take Dallas in the 1st place.

The Hornets were fighting to be NUMBER 1 in the tough West.

The Mavericks were fighting to even be a seed in the play offs.

recently... I have taken a few weeks off. And i notice I play alot better. Say I have a nice winning streak. then boom I start losing every game. I take a week or so break and my picks seem better. I know I start chasing which is bad, so I quit and find other things to do around..

I quit once and that lasted about 6 months. As a sports lover and a gambler, it's so hard to watch a game without thinking about what the spread must be or the total, etc. Gambling has ruined the pure enjoyment of sports for sports sake for me though as I have a very paranoid and cycnical outlook on every game. Hard to believe that every aspect of a given game is pure and in the spirit of competition. Always feel that someone is trying to fix something. I particulalry feel this way when a great college player has an off night for no reason. Hmmmm.... Did he have a family member put 100k on the game and that's why he suddenly can't get an RBI or make free throws. You get the idea....

The question is not really about actually quitting, b/c by definition you'd have to never do something again to quit it, so saying I quit a thousand times really means you said you'd quit (to yourself or others) a thousand times. Really everytime I have a losing day I say to myself quit this bullshit, so if I lose today I'll have quit again by tonight.
