Everyone is on here is saying that winning 50% is good, however if you only win half the time, does that mean that you dont actually make any money, unless you choose which bet you put more units on?

#5Not if you make flat bets at -110-think you have to be about 53% to win at those odds. But you can win at an even less than 50% picking percentage picking winning dogs in baseball and hockey.Comment -

#650% is good if your talking about your ratio of number of trips to bar/club vs number of times women brought home with you. At least it would be perfect for me.Comment -

#7Who says winning 50% is good? Several touts only hit that, and while it may be good for touts, it's not for a profit.Comment -

#14You only need to win a little over a third of the time to win at labby. 33.4% winners and you should break even over the long haul with a labby.Comment -

#1753.5-54% puts you at breakeven, so you decide that. However, if some of these guys hit 50%, that would be good for them.Comment -

#19At -110, you need to hit 52.38% to break even.
From that perspective 50% is not good. It is nonetheless better than average. Most players are in the 48-49% range.Comment -

#20Not at -110. At -110 breakeven is 52.381%. 54% is way way way better than breakeven. 54% at -110 over the long-run if you bet high volume of trials and bet size properly can make you very rich.Comment -

#2250% will obviously diminish your bankroll over at -110 odds and the same units per play.
52.4% puts you at the breakeven point (a couple pennies profit, actually) and if you hit 54% in a year...your bankroll will grow at a steady pace.
Forget about the ridiculous numbers that people throw out there saying they're hitting 57-60% in the long term...it's bullshit.
If you focus on hitting 54-55% over a large amount of plays...you'll be fine.Comment -
