The door just opened for UAB and Missouri St
With an ugly looking loss by Georgia and Michigan and Boston College getting roughed up at the halves of their games.

This will open the door for some mid majors to make the field of 68.

not sure that georgia losing in ot to bama is "that bad", but we'll see.
lots of teams on the bubble not doing themselves any favors, and a lot of them playing each other today as well

        should be interesting

Georgia lost in overtime. They actually hit the game winning shot but the coach had called timeout so it went to OT. How is a loss in overtime an ugly looking loss? Both teams are known for defense, Alabama is a top 10 defensive team in the nation.

Georgia has to still get in.

I wanted BC to make it in to the tourney but they're getting roughed up by Clemson at the moment.

I'm hoping this opens the door for Rhode Island. If they can beat Richmond tonight and pull some miracle tomorrow vs. Temple (assuming they win), then they would have reached the A-10 final with a record of 21-12, 127th SOS (and climbing) and should be entered into the conversation, albeit a long shot.

Just going to have to reel off 3 in a row vs. Richmond, Temple (if win) and whichever team backs into the final since Dayton beat Xavier.

nah UAB and MO St are still gonna be out. Watch for New Mexico tonight, if they beat BYU they are most likely in. Also like vegas said above, the A10 tourney should be interesting with Dayton/St Joes guaranteed in the title game for a shot at a bid.

It always seemed odd that some team's hopes of a tourney bid revolved around how far they advanced in a conference tournament, other than winning of course. So a team in the ACC/Big 10-12/SEC, etc. needs to win at least 2 games to get in, but if they win only 1, they won't? If they didn't do enough in the regular season, 2 wins in a conference tourney shouldn't change that, IMHO.

Sorry Georgia fans, but your team will be a #1 seed in the NIT...guaranteed. Blowing a 16 point lead with 6 minutes left will leave a lasting impression on the committee.

Best out of conference win was over Colorado in November. They went 2-8 vs the 5 SEC teams that will get a bid. Unfortunately, not nearly enough to warrant an invite.
