Yeah, it's insane he's still going. Sucks about Mike Starr, thought he was clean too, at least he was for a while when he was on the show this year for an episode.

Very sad, Heroin and Opiates are very hard to kick. You can stop them for a little bit but once you get the taste of the opiate loaded feeling it's hard to ever not want it all the time.

I really thought he was one of the few who had it beat. I watched his struggle on celeberity rehab. When he came back the following season to talk to that cast, I really thought he had that sh1t beat. He got arrested not to long ago and now BAM he's gone

I met the whole band once, Jerry Cantrell was very cool and as we all know, could wail on a guitar! Layne Staley was seriously struggling with his heroin demons! And this was back in the early '90's.
