My buddy doesnt have an account with a sportsbook, so I placed a 200 dollar 3 team parlay for him tonight. Somehow I put it in wrong and it looks like I am gonna cost him 1200 dollars. I offered to keep the bet as mine if he wanted but he decided he would just stick with the screwed up bet. Should I give him his money back anyway?

    He wanted
    Lakers -5
    76ers pickem
    Cavs Warriors under 218

    I took
    76ers pickem
    Cavs Warriors under 218
    Bucks Wizards over 186

Indeed. Don't really understand the "going to cost him $1200" part.

I misplaced a bet for my dad once about 20 years ago. No great story though, the bet he wanted won and the one I placed won at similar odds.

I only placed the second bet. He wanted the 1st 3 teamer, but I mistakenly placed the second.

You can get killed for that type of stuff, real talk, I hope your friend is a forgiving person for your sake.

He was at work, so he was telling me over the phone which games he wanted. He originally had 4 games and changed his mind a few times. In the end I must have unselected the wrong game. I noticed it within a few minutes of placing it and offered to give him the 200 back and I would take the bet as my own. He decided he wanted to keep the bet on.

A friend asked me to place a bet in his account.
I did it while doing mine, we were betting the same game
His was suppose to be $25 mine was $250
When i hit log out on his and placed the bet on mine
His account got both bets and mine didn't get the bet.
The game lost he got hit for $275 i told him about it
he said told me not to worry about it

Had my wife run to the casino to place a few bets on horses for turfway park and she bet turf paradise.
She has also done things like bet the chicago bulls when i wanted the Chicago black hawks.
and bet the New york Yankees and I wanted the Mets funny thing is Yankees were not ever playing that day
Now If i need her to go lay a bet down i give her bet number and team name.

As long as you pointed this out to him before the games started and he agreed to keep the ticket than you're in the clear. If you tried telling him after the fact that you screwed up, then yes you should be on the hook. sounds like your fine here though.
