He was defending David Cassidy because Richard hatch shoved him and is much larger. I've seen some of his twitter posts. He seems like a good guy that got a bad deal. He should get a second chance. yeah...straight up honest guy. Is Clemens? Is McGwire?(has a job with the Cardinals),is Palmiero?, Is AROD? ....none of these guys are...they got busted and have no comment. Canseco didn't hide from anything

I can't tell if this post is for real or not. Canseco broke the rules and got very rich. Then he made money by writing a book about steroids. He's not like a murderer but I wouldn't say he's a great guy by any stretch.

how would he be affliated? its not like he is smart or charismatic. the A's don't need him to be some media relations guy.

he knew what he was doing when he wrote the book. he made that choice. it worked out okay for him I guess

Jose is being blackballed because he tried to extort baseball by holding the steroid card over their head. "Let me back into this thing of ours, or I will tell the world how we do it." From the things I've read, he also told a handful of players to pay up or he would out them in his book.

None of this bothers me because I believe that the vast majority of players have been using performance enhancing drugs. It's like Lance Armstrong and cycling.

If everyone is doping then how are you cheating. Your still the best of all the cheaters. This applies to Barry Bonds.

I think the point of all of this should shift to steroids themselves instead of the people that take them.

Why, again, are they illegal? Other than being a miracle drug that does exactly what it advertises, why is it illegal when alcohol and tobacco are legal? I watched a documentary on steroids and there are no long-term side effects associated with steroid use in ANY medical journals (of course, when you abuse them, like any other substance, you can get bad side effects or even die).

Whether or not they should be allowed in sports may be another argument altogether (I would probably be FOR their use in sports for a couple of reasons: they help prevent injuries from fatigue, etc). What about cortisone? That's a steroid, and it is perfectly legal in most sports. So why all the propaganda and hoopla over something that is safe and effective when used correctly? I just don't get it...

Fact: There are more emergency room visits and deaths every year from multi-vitamins than there are steroid use.

He screwed baseball by popularizing steroids then he saved baseball by ratting the sport out and in between he made enough money to last several lifetimes but blew it all. He's right where he belongs; slumming with D-listers.

guy is an idiot who knew he could not make it in the bigs so he cheated. then other introduced the juice to other guys and started an epidemic, they are all idiots who think we are idiots. the next guy that says i took steroids to get a competitive edge will be the first. baseball should be ashamed of itself though, we all knew mark m and the big boys were juiced but baseball turned a blind eye cuz the seats were filling up, then when they realized it was coming out they act like they need to clean up the game its all a joke .....but take the under lol
