Think about it this way Crazy, Orlando was +4 for a 48:00 minute game and now you want them to cover -4 in a 24:00 half already down by almost 20 pts. Orlando will give up and TOR wins by 20+ today. Orlando -4 is a bad bet....

Just some days, NBA teams really don't have it and there is no sense is chasing them.

I'd have to agree w/ Buddy rake, of course there are instances where the opposite is true but I wouldn't go so far as to say that's anywhere near a majority or that significant. Especially in a situation like this particular game.

That being said it'd be nice if the Magic did go on a tear in the 2nd half but that's probably asking a little much.

Of course you are going to see many games that the 1H is totally different than the 2H...but statistically speaking, you can expect the 2H to be significantly similar to the 1H. Go through all the NBA box scores and you'll that pattern routinely emerge.

I see what you're saying, but again, I think generalizations like that can generally be thrown out in certain situations, and for me, this one was worth the risk. May not cash, but I was expecting Orlando -7.5 or so for the 2H, so I felt value with 4.

I've had to sweat out plenty of bets but never regretted making the play. This was one of those games where the touch-and-feel approach of in-game betting (Q's and H's) was the ideal method. Also of note, as I stated earlier, I thought the 2H fair line would be Orl -7.5 or so (which would have been a little steep). Incidentally, the Magic would have lost that bet by 1/2 point.
