    Kirby Puckett
Cant believe its been 5 years since his passing. One of the better players to play the game over the past 25 years. RIP Kirby.

It seems like so much longer than 5 years. He was my favorite player growing up. Kinda sucks how the end of his life was a mess.

Nice thread KP. I always enjoyed watching Kirby play the game, he played it the right way. Unfortunate that baseball lost him so early.

Time sure does fly and oh how we've lost the great ones. I'm still shocked of his passing. He died a few days short of his 46 birthday. A good friend of mine was a huge fan of his, had posters, jerseys, signed autographs of him. He grew up in Chi town in housing project another friend grew up in.

He's the 2nd youngest HOFer to die after Lou Gehrig. Hypertension...

Growing up in Minnesota and being 7 when the Twins won in 1991, Kirby was my hero when I was going to Elementary school. It was a very sad day for me when he passed.

One of the best players and most popular players in Minnesota. Can't believe it's been 5 years already! One of my best memorabilia I have is an autographed baseball signed by Kirby.

In the mid 80s, his 84 fleer update card was one to be desired.
