    is my IP address banned?
I can't login to SBR on any of my computers in my local home network but can get in on others. I tried resetting the router and the computers but no go. I can login with a proxy server but what happened?

I loaded the new poker s/w right about when my problems started but don't see how that would effect my entire network... help

        Lou??

What happens sometimes is a spammer trying to hustle viagra or whatever gets his IP banned and it blocks a legit IP range... You need to PM Lou with your IP and he can get the techs to adjust the firewall.

          Hi Mac4Lyfe,

On the machine(s) you cannot access SBR from, please go to http://whatismyip.com and then shoot us a PM or e-mail with it. Some legitimate IPs were caught in the safety net and need to be whitelisted.

            Hey Mac,

Same thing happened to me earlier this week. I found the following fix and it worked for me:

            -------------------------------------------------------------

The correct answer to this problem is as follows:
            1. You must go into your router.
            2. Enter the setup section.
            3. Select MAC address.
            4. Select user defined.
            5. Change a few numbers and letters in the MAC address.
            6. Save settings and reboot your computer and reset your MODEM.

This problem occurs when viewing the same site over a router from more that one computer or application at the same time for a period of time. This activates something in the server software that puts your IP address on a so called "BAND LIST". Your web hosting company will not be able to correct it because they don't know what is going on because they can see that it is working fine from their point of view.
Most common response is: Replace your router.
It works for them... But it is not the correct answer and it costs money to do so.

            More Info:
If you check your IP address with and without your router, you will see that it is different. The MAC address on your router is different from the one on your modem. The MAC address helps define what your IP address is. If you are on an "IP Band List", you must change your IP. This is only possible through changing the MAC address on the router or calling you ISP, if you are not using a router.

LOL...well it is a problem that all these forums battle. SBR created scripts and automated some security measures after we were DDOS attacked twice in 2009. We probably have over a 100,000 IP's currently blocked. Most took part in the attacks and others are part of spam syndicates. Unfortunately these security methods occasionally incorrectly target legit traffic and for the inconvenience we apologize.

Hey Lou...anyway you could tighten that net around jj's number? That might be an idea for the SBR Store? You can get a IP banned for..lets say 300 pts a shot?

It will be funny as hell if they ban JJ's IP address for a few days and see how many videos he makes screaming. This will be the most successful prank of the century.

No problem. I didn't get a banned message so I didn't know what had happened.

It also happened the day I installed the new poker s/w which was weird. John, you also came into the poker lobby yesterday afternoon and left after a few games, so a part of me thought... "Maybe John got mad and left and banned everyone at the table".

I couldn't remember if it was you or another player that had a real bad beat.

This happened to me a few days ago. I did the IP thing for Lou. 15minutes later, I was back on the boards.
