If Butler can make it to the final 4, certainly SDSU can. Its unfortunate that the 1 game that was nationally televised, they lost. Nothing you can do though when the other team is shooting over 50% from behind the arc.

They are a very good team and anything is possible....especially this year with it being so wide open. But the fact that you have a friend who goes there and he likes their chances is not exactly ground breaking info

For real. This team can't beat BYU at home let alone beat serious contenders in the tournament. Round 2 looks like there exit.

I have watched every San Diego State game this year and they are good. They will not win it all for a couple of reasons.

They cannot shoot free throws to save their life.
They play through sheer athleticism and not with brains. Many games they take questionable shots down the stretch.

Yes they will go to the Elite 8, but that's as far as I have them going.

I agree. I think most posters are going under the assumption they grab the 2nd seed (which is a pretty good assumption).
With that being the case, the first two match ups would favor them regardless of who they play IMO.

Already on them at +4000 to win the NCAA Tournament. There are no great teams this season. If you can play defense, rebound, and take care of the ball, you can go far in the NCAA Tournament, and San Diego State does all three of those things very well. Free throws could be their undoing, but it's worth a shot.

this sdsu team has maybe a 1-100 chance of winning it all.
i think kansas, duke, and texas combined have probably a 40% chance, and the rest of the field 60% - crap shoot these days with so much parity but sdsu would be underdogs in their final 4 games if not sooner ...

like their experience as a veteran team they have an outside shot at the final four with the right draw..field isnt all that great anyway. You dont have any monster teams like u did in the past.
