Like others said there have been times where totals or spreads were affected by a single player or single ref. That will always be the case.

Like its been said in a few other posts, i'm sure there are some random fixing going on by individuals for personal game, but it'll never be on the level where every game is fixed...past or present.

Some of the NBA is rigged. It depends on who the officials calling the games. Some of these bastards are just like us. they bet through offshore books only difference is they have their friend place the bets on the friends account so it can't be traced backed to them. If you notice alot of games where one team is getting all the calls, its fukkin obvious.

I'm not so sure it's rigged...the officials do a pretty good job most of the time, but the thing that kills me are the players. you cant tell me that these guys dont watch to see what the lines are before the game...I will hate betting spreads because lets say its a 7 point spread these guys willl hang around a ten point lead and play sloppy up until the last minute and i always get screwed haha...moneylines all the way for me

I really think it is. MJ is a prime example of NBA being rigged. If you ever do any research on him and gambling you will see why he left NBA to go to other sports. I believe there all rigged and you try to take them to court over it you will be told all the ticket does is let you see the field.

In it you can clearly see that the guy who places the envelops in the giant spinning glass basketball hopper places each envelope gently in, except for one in the middle which he inexplicably slams hard against the side of the hopper creating a huge crease/dent in the corner of the envelop. Then when Stern pulls out the envelope for the first pick he grabs three and then looks down into the hopper at the envelopes before selecting the one that would have the first pick. For every other envelope he doesn’t look down, he doesn’t even look at the envelope after picking it.

But it's not rigged for Vegas' benefit. Vegas is going to make money off slots as well as all the other bets. They limit the sharps action and up the squares action. Vegas does not need to fix these games.

If there is a fix or a rigged game it is solely for the benefit of the player/coach/ref rigging it or their beneficiaries, not vegas.

nba is clean - especially after the problems of a few years ago - to many eyes watching for any shenanigans. however, if you want to see some stuff that will make you wonder - check out ACC referee's - especially the last eight or ten minutes of a game. the ACC has a long history of
fixed outcomes going back 60 years.

the real fixes come on games in which small school teams are involved (out of the limelight). i was in on a fix thirty five years ago - not really in on it but i got the game third hand. it involved two small schools in the northeast. they put us on alert for a game a few days ahead of time, then the day of the game they said no go because they "we only had two whistles". about a week later we got the game - they said "we have all three whistles."

the team we were on was down about 20 points to the spread at halftime. but, ended up covering the game by 5 or 6 points.

As an avid Knicks hater I always found this video strange, but when they are turning the drum, wouldn't every envelope get banged on the sides as they are bouncing around? Then again, maybe not as hard as they did when that guy SLAMMED the Knicks envelope into the drum.

Oh well, Knicks still didn't get a title out of it.

LOL this is to funny....Yeah players probably know the line before tip off but they cannot possibly make and miss anytime they want. They are not robots.

Officials are the ones that have the ability to rig games.(One got caught even) but to say every game is rigged is ridiculous!!
Its absolutely crazy how lines are made and games are right on the money but it would be way to hard and noticeable if every player and official rigged games.
Quit gambling if you think everything is rigged....but you should also get a life as well because you are probably a person who thinks things that happen to you are ALWAYS someone else fault.

Not every game is fixed, but even if one game per season has an official making questionable calls on purpose....it's fixed as a whole.
