OK,I know someone who used to stay at a Ronald ** Donald House when their kid needed medical treatment away from home and it always seemed like one of the better run charities that was all inclusive in this country.
Then you have Oprah's big give on tv.Usually anything Oprah is involved with is for grandstanding purposes only to bolster her image.Someone should win her million and give it to a house for compulsive gamblers.
So why not have a sort of Ronald ** Donald House for down on their luck gamblers who's wives kicked them out of the house for gambling and losing too much.It could be called Ronald ** Donald's dog house.Remember how in the Stu Unger movie he always needed a place to stay because his wife booted his ass out the door of the mansion he bought with his poker earnings?Maybe Petsmart could sponsor it and they could call it Petsmart's dog house for indigent gamblers.It could be a place where the guys kids can come to stay over night while the gambler contemplates on getting treatment for his gambling disease.After all,according to psycho babblers,compulsive gambling is a disease just like cancer is.Whenever some guy says he's quitting gambling because he has a disease it reminds me of Flip Willson saying,the devil made me do it.It's a cop out!I would rather have a guy that can't handle gambling anymore say that he would love to keep doing it if he could but he realizes it's ruining his life and has no one else or nothing else to blame for his mistakes.
