    Tennis plays Monte Carlo
    Hi,

Madcapper is offline until Tuesday, so I try and provide some knowledge. I been working with tennis for the last 8-9 years, and today is a Masters tournament in beautiful Monte Carlo. Weather a bit cloudy, but not expekting lot of rain. Could be a bit "soggy", so courts even slower. Should favor natural claycourters.

I actually bet 6 games, a couple with lower odds, but should win fairly easy.

    1) FERRERO (vs Llodra) Natural claycourter against Llodra.

    2) VOLANDRI (vs Mahut) Another frenchman way out on this surface, VOlandri should prevail.

    3) PAUL HENRI MATHIEU (vs Tipsarevic) Not a lot off clay preparation for Tipsarevic, which has been tired lately.

    4) ACASUSO (Kohlschreiber) Kohlschreiber good season so far, but on this slow surface, Acasuso for me.

    5) VLIEGEN (vs Santoro)..santoro is magic to watch, but Vliegen coming through the qualifiers with strong wins, should be prepared for this.

6)ROCHUS (Haas)..another Belgian player coming through the qualifiers. Great chance against Haas that has been slightly injured lately. Rochus starting to find form, and took a set from Federer last week in the tournament Fed won.

    Good luck.

Ferrerro should win but the odds are pretty high (-345)
Volandri is very high as well (-425)
    I like your plays though
Just going from memory here but wasn't Mathieu the one that blew it in the Davis cup serving for the match against Blake? Its going to be hard to get over that for him and that wasn't that long ago so it might be good to stay away from him for a bit
Tennis has been such a crap shoot this season that it's hard to bet with confidence in any match.Anything can happen
Good luck with your plays though

I would not normally back such short favorites, but I always make exceptions on clay, and use them in different parlays.

You are right, Mathieu can be a bottler under pressure, but in these circumstances..he should be ok

Went big on Ferrero -400 (Bodog.... went up to -450) and he choked the 1st set after going up a break. But up 3-1 in the 3rd so I'm stressing less.

After that Almagro chokejob, it really isn't over until the fat lady sings though.

Ferrero, Volandri and Vliegen won so far. Rochus was up 6-1 3-0 then Haas retired. Mathieu and Acasuso still to play.

            WTG Diamond!!

            Solid picks.

Too bad I didnt see this thread before ... but did take

            Ferrero, Volandri, Vliegen, Rochus.

That was all my plays for 2day

So yes 4-0 for the day.

            Cant complaint.

Small update: Mathieu 4-6 6-2..going into the final set..Tipsarevic had his ancle strapped midways through 1st set, but thats typical Tipsa, to take an injury timeout.

Acasuso lost first set 6-7, but plenty of breakchances, so have a feeling he will come through in the end.

Low odds for Ljubicic but he may win against Kuerten.

Kuerten is playing his farewell tournament and this year has only won once in a challenger back in Brazil against a lower-ranking player

Mathieh lost in 3rd set, good performance from Tipsa.

Kohlscreiber win in 2-sets, just too good for Acasuso.

                  4-2 on the day.
