BYU lost million of dollars because of their stupid honor code. A team that would have gone to Final Four may lose in the first round of the NCAA tourney. And 8 months from now Brandon Davies will be a proud father and BYU would have lost millions of dollars that would have been used for scholarships because of their stupidity.

byu isnt really all that good anyway as far as being a 1 or 2 seed. the guy was the 4th or 5th best player and only started half the games. chill out and watch his replacments get in the groove.

Its BYU, not West Point. But yeah, BYU gets way more out of punishing Davies then keeping him in: it makes Mormons look good and principled. Besides, Mormons have historically died for their religion, I don't think they'll care that this just means their streak of most NCAA Tournament games without a Final Four will continue.

Common man you think all other 11 players on the team don't fukk their girlfriends? They found a scapegoat to get publicity. So when they fail in NCAA tourney they will blame it on the player instead of the coach.

Rumor is that he knocked up a professor's daughter. The prof got pissed and demanded Davies got kicked off the team. Davies' girlfriend plays volleyball at ASU, or somewhere out of the state. BYU apparently made up the story that it was his girlfriend, just so the school wouldn't look so bad.
