Braves long term outlook is not good. Their best reliever, Moylan, is gone for the season. He was a 95 MPH SIDE ARM pitcher with a slider that breaks about 12 feet. Gone. They were already short. Now Glavine gone, Hampton will be gone soon because he is never reliable he will get hurt upon his return. Smoltz on the brink of getting hurt every time he throws a baseball. Chipper Jones is going to crumble at any time. He is about to fall apart. The Braves have a great batting lineup if Jones can stay healthy. However the pitching outlook is not good outside of Hudson.

They better hope they get about a 40 game lead in the division early so they can rest everyone down the stretch.

Did you read my post? A lot of the Braves key players are on their last leg. Take Chipper out of that lineup and it becomes a lot less potent. Take Smoltz out of the pitching rotation and they would have one of the worst pitching staffs in the major leagues. Moylan is gone which was a huge blow. I am a lifelong Braves fan. I'm saying we are very fragile, it got bad when Moylan went down, it could get a lot worse easily.

Moylans not that great in my book...

and if you take the best pitcher out of any teams rotation (taking smoltz...as you are hinting) of course the team will struggle... If you take the best hitter in the game out of your line up (talking chipper) then of course there offense will struggle...

last time I looked though chipper was batting over .450 and smoltz had a .56 era...
doesnt look like these top players are showing weaknes...
Tex hasn't even got things going yet...

the braves aren't doomed... There pitching is a tad bit weak at the present time but none of the injuries are season ending...

15 days in april isn't that big of a deal...

Atlanta is a decent club like 20 other teams in baseball, it is a shootout this year.
