Because the idiots will call with A2-A9. Are you a n00b with poker? I shoved in preflop 30 times probably this past week and was the favorite like 20 of them. I won 3 or 4..lol.

thats why you always see the same names at the final tables, good consistant play rises to the top.people like me who are new, not nec. bad, will donk one out every once in a while. I guess this adds to the chance of a suck out, or call out on a bluff. I appreciate the comments I get at the tables, like when I call with a pair against an overpair card on the table, and win. I know I got lucky, and note to self...this is how I build my skill and knowledge base. I like sbr poker, it gives me a chance to learn the dynamics of the game for free.

Last night I had another epic bad beat, my pocket Aces lost to pocket Jacks. Blinds were around 300/600 I had 9K or so in chips, not many people left in the tourney. The guy with JJ raises it, the BB goes all in, I wanted to go all in but couldn't so I'm forced to just call the guy that went all in. The flop hits 3, 8, J and I go all in with my AA.....of course the guy hits a set of Jacks and I'm gone.

I would love to keep playing but it's pointless. I already know how it will end up.
Right on cue. I flop 2 pair, reraise a bet 4x his raise, get called with middle pair, and he turns 3 of a kind.
I literally just don't have a chance no matter how I play the game.

LMAO. I got 900 chips left, the pots only 150, I go all in with A,Q suited, and get called with J,7 off suit. Wouldn't you know it, he catches a jack and a seven.
No chance.

No. Playing online for 5 years.
The way you are playing makes you look like the noob.....
You guys need to remember that a lot more bad beats happen in free poker, because there is no risk, so people tend to call rather than fold.

Come now, Heres a real bad beat.
Needed 2 more points to become tournament "top dog" in my local Casino. Winner gets a seat to the world series of poker main event. Im two off the final table. 9th place gets 1 point, 1st gets ten, so all I need is to finish 8th in this tournament and I got it.
Un raised pot and I wake up with KK at the cutoff. Should I fold until 8th? Steal? I almost folded, but I need the chips to be more secure, I was getting low. So I pushed just to take the blinds.
The guy in the big blind (not knowing or caring about my situation) gets a phone call and says, "sorry guys, I got to go, I call..." Turns his cards over, shows 10 6 off, gets up, and leaves the casino. The hand is live because he turned up his cards, he wins the hand, knocks me out, and his chips get sent over to an empty seat, I dont go to the world series.
Its been about six months since this happened and I still get mad thinking about it.

The best ones are when three people have an Ax and you have QQ, the river will still be an ace.
