First guess is the size, think you need to reduce to 150x150 (your current is 115x115).

Any pic I use, no matter how large, is automatically resized for use as avatar.

Could be the browser you use. Firefox here.

tried firefox and safari, and tried several different pictures... keeps giving me same error message...

Maybe cuz im using a mac? im not sure, thanks for the help anyway tho....
