Chauncey Billups Will Play a Key Role For NY
People are underestimating Billups. He's a floor general. The man is clutch and the definition of winner. Billups and Anthony don't get along but this is more than a 2 star team. Chauncey has the championship experience

Chauney is a great addition to any team. Joe D buried himself when he let him go.

I may be biased as a Pistons fan, but there's no way I would have given up Chauncey if I was Denver. He's one of the best leaders in the league, has proven he can win, and wants the ball in crunch time. Plus he wanted to be in Denver. Still miss watching him at the Palace.

I agree, Chauncey is a upgrade over the point guard the knicks had (felton). He is not being talked about that much, but I believe his addition to the team makes NY a contender.

It will play out like the Suns a few years back. Amare is still the Beast, Melo is better than Marion, and Billups will be in the Nash role. This will be a great team to watch. Defense will be terrible, though.

Billups is a great addition, but he won't be the difference between a championship and no championship. The Knicks can't seriously compete this year and Billups is already 34. What Billups provide is some leadership and enough skill for the knicks to be competitive immediately, but Billups is not in the Knicks future...

I used to be friends with a guy that played against Billups in college. Billups had a slow start to his NBA career but my buddy told me he was going to be good even when he wasn't doing that well in the NBA.

Billups brings a lot more experience to the Knicks. Don't think they will pick up his option for next year. If the Knicks want to roll the dice, pick up his option, hope he can still go at 35, and go after Howard. Don't know if they could make this work with the money though.

Its been reported they WILL pick up the option and they DONT have the money to make it (Howard or anyone else of the caliber work).

demens, the talk is always about Chris Paul or Deron Williams coming. Thought it was next year, but now see its 2012. Would make sense to pick up the option for Billups.
