that is certainly bigger than the red sox nation.

but it is pretty cheezy and lame. at least wait til the post season. if they go down early this year, i can see yankee's universe will be the biggest joke in MLB next year.

Not if Girardi keeps leaving starters in after giving up SIX straight hits without getting an out.

I guess everyone missed last year and the way the Yankees started. They've made the playoffs every year since 1993 (1994 does not apply) and only a fool would think they would continue to make it every year forever ...

So if they don't make it one season, that means nothing ... it would not be embarrassing ... would not be a travesty ... have the Red Sox made it every year since 1993 ... have they won 4 World Series during that time period?

Guess they must be super-embarrassed ...

The Yankees playoff chances - and success within the playoffs will come down to the pitching. It is still way too early in the season to predict which way it will go but the entire pitching staff needs to improve. Wang is the only reliable starter and MoRivera is the only good reliever.

You are right. That Chamberlain kid is a truly mediocre reliever. Certainly not good!

wang looks really shaky today. thanks to the hotbats, otherwise, yankees should've lost this one.

both sides had poor pitching...easy to hit when the pitchers arent doing well....Wang just had a bad night...hopefully he will rebound...

Even the good pitchers have their off days and yes, today the bats did come through. Either way, our pitchers need to come through in the clutch and not stink during the playoffs. Plus a-rod can't go 0-5 with 3k's in playoff games either.

                      ARod can ... and will. 2-15 in 2005, 1-14 in 2006, 4-15 in 2007 -- complete with 1 RBI and at least 12 K's (perhaps more) ...

Resigning him means never having to have your #4 hitter hit well in October!!!

Somebody else needs to win that division to put this bickering to rest.

Yanks wont need to worry about pitching if they can score 15 runs a game. Plus Joba and Mo are clutch. In all seriousness if they can get just fair performances out of their starters, they can make a run at it this year with their offense.
