Yea, I didnt even know we were getting snow. I guess a big storm was coming our way. Roads turned to ice in about 20 minutes.

Being a state worker has its perks! Was already off today. Maybe I'll just take the week off....I feel that a 3 or less day work week is bad luck.

Daycare got a 3 hour delay....so that means I dont have to be at work until 10:45. It's gonna be a goooooooood day.

I guess I don't HAVE to go in, but I missed last Monday because a kid was sick. Was off yesterday for Presidents day. When you got a 3 month old and a 3 year old, sometimes going into work is actually less work than staying home. I'l go in today....I could use the break.

I've worked for the state 12 years and we have never got president's day. Typical state employees always get screwed.

cool. I'd love to not work for the state anymore, but it's the only job available anymore, where you can actually draw a pension. We're kind of forced into staying.

Yep, Ive got to much time in now to leave plus it's still pretty secure for now. I might retire early with 20 years if the private field is still paying more than the state like it is now down here
