    See? The NBA is fixed.
NEW YORK (AP)—A former classmate of disgraced NBA referee Tim Donaghy has pleaded guilty in connection with a betting scandal.

Thomas Martino entered his plea Wednesday in Brooklyn federal court to conspiracy to defraud the NBA, and faces 12 to 18 months in prison when he is sentenced on July 11.

His co-defendant, professional gambler James Battista, is due in court Monday.

Martino told a judge he paid Donaghy for “good picks” on NBA games.

“If Donaghy’s picks won, he was paid for his information,” Martino said.

Donaghy faces a maximum of 25 years in prison. He pleaded guilty last year to charges he conspired to engage in wire fraud and transmitted betting information through interstate commerce.

Donaghy said he made NBA bets for four years, even wagering on games he worked. He also admitted recommending bets to high-stakes gamblers and collecting $5,000 if his picks hit.

The three men attended high school together in Springfield, Pa.

I imagine totals are most affected by this sort of stuff.

It is obvious totals are fixed quite often. Look how often the line lands a point or two away from the total. It's easy to fix totals, don't take shots, dribble down the court slowly. One day it will come out how fixed the totals are in the NBA and college as well.

Johnny, I've never legitimately lost a wager.

I have only legitimately lost 72% of my wagers by no fault of my own.

Sometimes I'm on the right side of the fix.

I'm just reporting, pal. You decide. You could fix totals though. Maybe it happens in .0001% of the games but quite possible.

Here, have an egg roll and calm the phuck down!

They called about 7 or 8 shooting fouls in the closing 2 minutes of the 1st half of Magic/Hawks game yesterday...

1st half OU was 103... it went over by 2 pts
