      Isiah did this

      He is running the Knicks

KNicks current GM never wanted to do this

Isiah pushed Dolan and it worked

Talk about overpaying. Wow. The Nuggets pulled a fast one on the Knicks.

Clearly was an Isiah deal - all the marginal players involved in this trade
(Why can't Isaiah spell his name correctly?)

Both teams ended up good in this deal. Carmelo level players aren't available all the time. If you're the Knicks you HAD to make this trade. While they gave up a few good players, they come out with one GREAT player. Unless Galinarri becomes the next Dirk Nowitzki or Mozgov becomes another Vlade Divac or something, this deal will ultimately be looked at as one sided.

Nobody remembers Caron Butler, Lamar Odom, Brian Grant and a first round draft pick went to the Lakers for Shaq. They just remember that Shaq went to Miami and won a championship. At the time, Miami was a playoff team and essentially (like NY today) gave up 3 starters and a first round pick for the Big Man.

The only reason this deal benefited Denver, is for a while it looked like they might lose Carmelo for nothing, a la Cleveland for LeBron.

Denver got a great deal considering they were a week away from the trading deadline. Thomas is trying his best to get back with the Knicks. For some reason, probably because he doesn't have a clue, Dolan keeps listening to Thomas. Walsh has done a great job getting rid of the garbage Thomas signed, and made the Knicks relevant again.

He must have so much on Dolan it is not even funny.

Thomas has always been a snake but is real street smart and seems to win out.

So true. Dolan seemed to take that sexual harassment payout very calmly. Thomas also tried to cover up an ambulance trip to the hospital due to an overdose of sleep meds by saying it was his daughter, not him.

The only other guy that was worse in pro sports was Matt Millen for the Lions
