I just jinxed the favorite at Santa Anita

California tracks are slowly dying...the fields at San Anita have been horrible. Other than Del Mar the tracks/racing have been horrible. Bay Meadows closed and others like Hollywood aren't far behind.

Betting chalk anywhere is horrible gambling. If you're betting favorites at the track you'd be better off not being at the track to begin with.

They'll need to try and rate him when he goes longer. I had the 2nd horse and thought he ran well off the 6-month layoff.
