In respect of the bet fellas: bad luck. I thought the price was actually about right and a lot of chalk to lay. I should have said this yesterday and even typed it in once, before work called and I completely forgot.

It was a square play that only accounted for the fact that Aus are better than Zim and didn't account for what can happen at the start of a game. e.g. Zim bat first - make a modest 200, including 50-60 in the first 15. Aus lose some early wickets and consolidate, knowing if they have wickets in hand they win. Also like yesterday, Aus start conservatively, but score a lot late. Zim need to play some shots to keep in touch...

That being said, I can't talk. I was on opening partnership, but I thought there were a few more angles on that. Poor Zim attack. Aus keen to get off to a good start in the tournament and not slogging (knowing they don't need 300 to win), so preserving their wickets and Aus likely to get an early wicket. Easy to say in hindsight, but that was my logic.
