Betting "Action" in Baseball

Definitely not, but because you took "action" you will get the new odds for new listed pitcher and your wager will be locked in.

No, you won't have to re-wager but if you bet on a certain pitcher and he's a late scratch and the replacement is a triple A callup you likely won't be happy with your decision.

Plus the odds change, what if you bet the game at +120 and with the pitching change you now get -150?

"Action" wagers are for gamblers that want action. Most pro players will never use these. On an action wager, a pitcher change will have the odds automatically adjusted to the "market price" at open with the new pitchers. This gives the book a lot of leeway on what price you get.

Pro players would sell their grandmother off for an extra 5 cents, so there's no way they'd play an "action" bet that might be 10-20 cents off what they expect (unless they have VERY good info on who the new pitcher is, and how the market is incorrect in analyzing him).

Personally I can't think of a reason where I'd take action, I'm sure there are others here that may offer an explanation as to why "action" may be good, but not me.

I answered this question for him on the phone yesterday.. There are no thoughts on this dude, it's pretty cut and dry.

You don't keep the odds on an Action wager.

I use action most of the time now because I just want "action" on the game. If I bet a team and it is +180 and their is a pitching change and now it is +120 I do not care because I want "action" on game and usually need the game to win no matter who is pitching as I have deadlines to meet. It all depends what situation your in.
