Im trying to make a point about people making a case about CW being so great when they are paying people with canadian checks that can have a stop payment put on them a year after issue date

Well, couldn't ya just go to a local check cashing place and bypass your personal bank? I'm sure they would charge a nice fee, but if ya were concerned about it. I've never used a check cashing place, but someone did make reference to it before.

What ties you to the transaction is your reference #. I already told CW I gave my details to ** a couple letters off just because I didn't want my exact name out there. They said no problem, they already have a scanned copy of my ID and all that.

I actually told CW after I settled, they didn't care. Moneygram doesn't ID you, no need to give your exact info on sending form. So long as you have the reference # it's obviously you who sent it. CW has my ID on file. If I lived a # or two off from my ** paper, how did I receive the check?

Yeah that's lame. I went through a regular check cashing joint, never asked for ID for amounts less than $1k.
