Yes they do if your a steam chaser or do things of that type of nature. Normally limits will vary from $.01 up to $250 range (pending the book).

I would presume that Sportsbooks would wish for us to have unlimited wages.

Books do limit you.I have been limited before. Cut my bets down to 20 dollar maximum. Don't really see the point. Weird thing is that I didn't even win money with the book I was losing money. They just didn't like my "style" of betting.... said that it was not in there best interests to continue business with me

If you work for a sportsbook in Costa Rica, most definitely yes, they will limit your wages, after all it is a third world country.
Wages are much better in Europe. Not as limited.

Some sportsbooks limit you even when you are losing because the way in which you bet could result in losses for the future.
I used to bet in-running games alot and would often make max bets with alot of juice on them and I guess the sportsbook didn't really lik the fact that I was betting the max on the games.
The crappy thing about sports gambling these days is that a book can pretty much do whatever they want to the player and we can't do anything about it.Best to stick to the "A" books

Somebody here will call bullshit on that, but I believe you. LV Hilton seems to be the only real bookie left in town.

What sport? Sides or totals?
For sides in major sports, $1k isn't going to be a problem. $3k is a pretty standard limit, some will take more, some less. Downtown, $1k is more standard.
If you want a dime line in MLB, you have Coast casinos, Stations, Leroys (Trop and Sahara among others), Wynn, Hilton, Stratosphere.
If you want to bet totals at $1k you want to avoid downtown and Stratosphere where $500 is often the limit.

Yeah, Harrah's properties blow these days. I've had problems there as well.
The Coasts still run a great book and they're not afraid of action.
Stations are not bad either.

Hilton and Coast will take a bet. Mirage properties are pretty fair also. Half my group has been backed off of Harrahs and Stations though.
