How do you use the "stay logged-in" feature with greasemonkey now?
It use to be so easy to just add a web site by right clicking the icon. I don't know how the hell to do it now.
Anyone have anything better to stay logged in to a web site?

Firefox keeps me logged in fine. I can turn off my PC and come back to Firefox and I'm still logged in to this place.

A posting forum is different. Some books will kick you out after 5 minutes of down time.

I run the "auto-reload" extension in google chrome. it allows you to set certain pages to auto reload, manual reload, or no reload and you can adjust the time between reloads and randomness so that the website does not realize that you are refreshing the page too often.

That's different. That's just refreshing the page. It's not keeping you logged in to a book.

It keeps me logged into every site I have tried it on. May not be the exact same but it reaches the same result.

I gave up trying to stay logged into certain books, it only takes a few seconds to re log in or just use lines without logging in

Bluehorsehoe are you referring to Ganchrow's greasemonkey scripts in this thread?
He mentioned a new beta version that would apparently work for all sites, but the link is broken. Do you have it by chance?

It's only once happening every 5 minutes and it's not like it's requesting any lines or anything. It's basucally just keeping the connection alive by making a simple request.
Considering that, the auto refresh trick should work.

I have found the same problems Ganchrow ran into with just a standard auto-refresh extension: "...that was kind of annoying as it would flash the page, often refresh at an inopportune time, and I'd always need to remember to reset it when I changed pages."
Willing to pay $50 to anyone who can duplicate or dig up Ganchrow's greasemonkey script that works on all sites seamlessly.
