Just wondering guys... Has anyone had any problems taking their payout checks to the bank? Does the check come from some other company or how does this work?

#16Use your head man, there are ways to get the money there with no paper trail. Go do some research and tell me how many normal citizens have been arrested for gambling online.Comment -

#17I believe it's the funding through U.S. banks and CC's that are illegal, not making the actual bets themselves.Comment -

#32Well, it could be illegal to place a bet online. The Federal wire act is a gray area dealing with this and I believe the 5th circuit has determined it is not illegal, so you would have a precedence. Although, the FBI states it is illegal on their website, the Department of Justice, when asked if it was illegal to gamble online by a congressional committee, said it was not illegal. As for UIGEA, well like others said, it is basically for Banks to be Judge, Jury, and executioner of the law, in which they have said in front of the Financial Committee, they have no idea how to enforce it.
Now, if let's say you are from Washington State and you make an online wager then yes it is very illegal. As a matter of fact, I believe, it is a felony in that state. However, in Texas it is not if you do it from your own home.
As others have said, if ya really want to know, do some research and then go school your Law Teacher, because something isn't right with your instructor. Of course, perhaps he/she just hasn't really looked into it.
Good Luck on your quest for knowledgeComment -
