I'm sure there are still parts of Detroit that are really nice, but you have to admit the city isn't what it once was. Detroit really got hit hard when the auto industry fell into trouble. It's a shame really.

My father is about to do it. My man was a guinea pig for the last 5 years on multiple surgeries, you see those commercials on tv about the faulty Depuy hip plant? He was a lucky recipient of one so they had to take it back out, lawsuit pending...

Now the doctors in ohio wont give him his pain meds because they say the meds are so dangerous, which they are, that it is a liability for the doctor since he also uses marijuana. I understand it from the doctors view but its bullshit he can't get his meds. Luckily he is from Michigan and only a few hours a way so moving shouldn't be a big problem.

Detroit is coming back strong. No more Kwame, Bing is a good business man and has shown great leadership as a mayor. Th auto industry is starting to get going again. Detroit actually produced more jobs than alot of major cities just recently. Anyone with extra cash, should really look at those houses as an investment. Put a couple k into fixing it up and u will surely at the minimum double ur money if not triple it between 5-7 years.

I did some research into the value of moving in or around Detroit. According to threads I browsed on city-data.com, there's an anti-white sentiment among many blacks, on top of the really high crime rate; that's what would scare me, a degree earner, from moving there.
