    Golf Experts (Masters Value?)
    Round 3 Matchup

    Phil Mickelson +240
    Tiger Woods -300

I have Mickelson (+1000) for the whole thing, but was looking at this for tomorrow. What's your thoughts?

I won't give any sort of betting advice here, but I'll take this opportunity to pad my post tally. My degeneracy has stooped as low as (but not limited to) Japanese soccer. Haven't went into golf..yet.

I know absolutely nothing about golf. How this all came about was, I had 2 back-to-back dreams, one about Phil Mickelson winning the masters, and one about my late grandmother, who was a huge Mickelson fan. Woke right up, and put $100 on Mickelson. Now that I'm watching it, I'm seeing that Mickelson is playing some of the best golf ever at Augusta, and Tiger is slouching. That's why I asked about this one. I decided to take it, and put another $100 on Mickelson in this one.

Mickelson is much closer to the lead, and has won twice. He just has to stay close to give himself a big chance tomorrow, and will probably play fairly conservatively.

Tiger is 7 shots off the lead. He needs to be aggressive and make up some serious ground (which he surely will, if history is any indicator).

These guys are NOT playing for 2nd place. Winning this tournament is as important as it gets for Tiger and Phil.

Huge advantage to Tiger beating Phil today (3rd round).

Wish I would've read you opinion before I actually placed the wager. Most likely would've laid off. I'm guessing the bad weather also goes in Tiger's favor? I guess let's just hope this is like 2006 or 2004, where Tiger put up a 71 to Phil's 70, or a 75 to Phil's 69.

This year's situation does resemble the 2004 Masters where Phil was 3 shots ahead of Tiger after day 2.

The thing going against you is that in 2004, Tiger was in the middle of his 2 year stretch (2003, 2004) where he was revamping his swing and he didn't win any majors. Today's Tiger is playing at superhuman levels.

The thing you may have going for you is that this is the major Phil has finally broken through and won twice. It's possible he may have Tiger slightly intimidated at Augusta.

Well, you're getting odds so it's not all bad. Good luck to you.

I think I saw yesterday that in Tigers wins at Augusta he was lights out in the 2nd round each time. He failed to do that yesterday. He will have to attack today whcih could lead to a higher score. I love your bet. If you do not want it , I will take it.
