    books to get me started
I'm new to the sportsbooking world and have been browsing threads on these forums for quite awhile now trying to get my grips on this industry. Still feeling overwhelmed by all the information I figure I should turn to some good old fashion books to try to clear things up.

I've used the search function but searching the term 'books' comes up with quite a few results. Who woulda thought.

So I'm just asking for some nice books to get me started. So far in my shopping cart I have:
Weighing the odds in sports betting by Yao
    Sharp sports betting by Wong
    Conquering risk by Feustel

Are there any other books you recommend a beginner to get? or any that I should remove from that list?

depends on which sports you're most interested in, but those are good books for general sports and risk management

Thanks for the tips so far guys. Are there any good books out there specifically for hockey and football? Those would be my main sports I'd dabble in.

in addition to books... get a good understanding of statistics and probabilities... learn the value of a 1/2 point and reduced juice.

Pinnacle is the best book by far...if your in the US and can't use it....

BetJam/BetDsi or Bookmaker/5Dimes/Bodog in that order

If you are outside of the US you would be mad not to use Pinnacle.
